Fabulous black and yellow costume jacket with tails circa late 19th century. It has large decorative yellow buttons on the front and back that give it a very whimsical look.
Likely for a theater production, it is well made. Wool with polished cotton lining.

Likely best for a medium to large, but could be worn oversized on a smaller frame.
It has no closures, and can be worn open, but the measurements have been taken as if it were closed:
38" bust/chest
34" waist
20" front length
39" back length
+++ Condition +++
Condition is fair with quite a bit of wear. Some holes throughout, as shown. It has hook and thread closures but the hooks are gone, only the threads remain. There is staining throughout as well.
However it is still wearable and sturdy. Fun for a costume party, definitely a conversation starter! Would also be a wonderful display piece.
