Stunning Victorian era gilt brass snake belt buckle with paste stones and red paste eyes!
Paste is another term for cut glass, which was a beautiful and popular substitute for gemstones in the Georgian and Victorian eras.
The prongs are quite sharp and you can easily create your own belt with a sash or heavy ribbon of choice as shown in the photo.
