Taking its name from a particle said to travel faster than the speed of light, the Danner Tachyon is an incredibly lightweight yet durable 8-inch coyote combat boot designed to hold up in the field while maximizing the agility needed by soldiers. Made of rough-out coyote leather supplemented by lightweight 1000 Denier nylon, these coyote boots are built exceptionally tough without the bulk. Plus, they're AR670-1 compliant making them acceptable to wear with the uniform. Inside the Tachyon, a cushioning open-cell PU footbed provides plush comfort while an EVA midsole adds extra cushioning and shock absorption with every step and landing. Beneath this military boot is a slip-resistant rubber outsole with a pentagonal lug pattern engineered to grip the ground from all sides, granting superior traction, finesse, and ground contact from one environment to the next.
