Ranch Blouse - ICE-BLU Denim

The Mister Freedom® RANCH BLOUSE pattern is our original take on classic denim jacket styles from the Golden Age of American workwear, 1930s to 1950s.

FABRIC: 12 Oz. “ICE-BLU” Denim, light indigo blue warp x ecru weft, solid white selvedge ID, milled in Japan.

Pocketing/facing: sturdy NOS white/navy gingham, 100% cotton.

* MF® “Uncle Sam” type collar pattern.
* ‘Vintage’ boxy but trim silhouette.
* Pleated front with original MF® arrowhead dart stitching.
* Original MF® “M” stitching on chest pockets.
* Single pocket flap.
* Selvedge front panel fold.
* NOS white/navy gingham fabric facing for collar and pocket flap.
* “Silver” cast MF® branded tack buttons.
* Buckle back, concealed selvedge strap, adjustable, riveted.
* Copper rivet reinforced, unmarked hardware.
* Subtly contrasting ivory white stitching, 100% cotton thread.
* Original mfsc printed “Buckaroo” cloth label.

SIZING/FIT

The Mister Freedom® Ranch Blouse comes raw/unwashed, and will shrink to tagged size. Follow the usual recommended initial method before wearing: cold soak for 30mn, spin dry and line dry. Please refer to sizing chart to determine which size works for you.

CL's Advice: I wear my usual Ranch Blouse size in this “ICE-BLU” edition, a cold-soaked 38. Please refer to sizing chart for approximate raw/soaked measurements.
Soaked = 30mn cold soak, spin dry and line dry (ie. minimal shrinkage).

CARE

Hand wash or machine wash on delicate, cold water, minimal eco-friendly detergent. Turn inside-out to avoid marbling of the fabric. Line dry only.

This fabric will develop attractive patina over time, according to the owner’s activities, frequency of wear and laundering choices.

The Mister Freedom® RANCH BLOUSE pattern is our original take on classic denim jacket styles from the Golden Age of American workwear, 1930s to 1950s. The Ranch Blouse has a 1930’s ~ 1940’s flare with the traditional bell and whistle ie. the pleated front and the buckle back.

Our 12 Oz. “ICE-BLU” denim twill, the Mister Freedom® interpretation of vintage colored denims features a sky blue indigo warp and ecru weft and solid white selvedge.

To match the Ranch Blouse, we gave our Californian Lot.674 the "ICE-BLU" treatment. For the Texas Tuxedo-shy, mixing-up either top or bottom with traditional darker denim might be the ticket. Either way, these two pieces are quite versatile for anyone with a sense of style anchored in old classics.
